We're back from Mexico

Here we are hiking to the church in Jalpa. The area is beautiful! Notice Catherine's butterfly back pack!!
This is a coffee plant (or tree?) Christopher is showing some of the ripe beans
Catherine had fun with the ladies in the kitchen. This is a tortilla she made by hand!
We were able to make 13 benches. We had to tweek the plans a bit, but they came out pretty nicely!
Catherine sharing her toys during a church service
This is how we bathed for the 3 days in Jalpa. The kids loved it!
This is the new church in Jalpa. The team poured the columns. This like most village churches is built into the side of a mountain.
This is looking from the top of Jalpa where the church is located. You can see the rest of the town below. You can see part of the road (if you can call it that) straight ahead on the mountain.
The ladies are measuring flour to make bread for morning pastries. Catherine snuck a piece of dough!

This is the proposed site of a new church in Petapixcla (pet-ah-peesh-clah) This too will be built on the slope of the mountain.

Simply incredible. Awesome! The Lord is obviously pleased and glorified when the body comes together like this!!! Isn't it awesome to be on the front lines of extending the kingdom? I can't help getting excited. Although they are so far away, you brought brother and sister together, working side by side, across many obstacles and barriers, just like Christ wanted. One Body. Totally Cool!

Thank you for sharing all that good info. It reminds me of our trip to Bolivia a couple years ago. I know the Lord used all of you in a great way, including Christopher and Catherine.

Thanks for the update. It is great to see God at work in other places. God is truly using you and Calixto in mighty ways.

Really great. It brings back a lot of memories. I think Americans who are generations away from the farm just made up the story of roosters crow at daylight. I was always amazed to hear all of the roosters in the whole town crowing to each other beginning about 2:00 AM. I know that you had a very fulfilling time. I would love to go sometime. God bless. Loved the pictures. They bring back a flood of memories of our life in the Amazon. Uncle Lee is so excited about joining the group in February!
