I took this picture to show "Best Buy" what my camera does when I use the telephoto lense. This shows her boo-boo she got from a chair at church, which looks pretty good now. It sure did bleed a lot when it happened! She looks like a little model with those pouty lips! Pauline I can't wait until Calixto returns with the hair product...thanks so much!
Since Calixto has been gone, I have painted the living room! I'm not sure the true color (restrained gold) shows well in the picture, I think the pic looks lighter. I still have to paint the trim white but will leave that for a later time. I have to put everything back on the walls but, can't decide what I want to change or move or get rid of yet. I love the color and I hope Calixto likes it as well. I am motivated to do the kitchen and hallway now...it will be a shade lighter than this color. The change will be nice when It is all complete.

Spiderman..Spiderman...

I can't believe I am smiling and taking a picture and not scolding him for this! This is actually the first picture, the other one is on his way down.

Update on Christopher...he is doing well back at school after the semester at home. We haven't had to force him out of the house and into the school building for the last few weeks. He was not behind at all and has jumped right in with the class, which was my concern. His teacher said it seems that he has been there right from the beginning. Basketball is going well, he has made 4 points each game. Soccer starts in 3 weeks the week after basketball season ends. Mom-mom will be here to see one game of each sport when we go to Mexico. She'll have to cheer extra loud since we won't be there!

Please pray for Calixto's grandmother

We just found out tonight that Calixto's grandmother, "Lala", has lung cancer. She is 94 years old and has out lived all of her 5 siblings of which she was the youngest. This is his step-mother's mother, Calixto is very close with her and has been since he came to the states. He filled the desire for a son that she never had. He obviously is pretty upset...she sounded good on the phone but, she did ask him to pray that she wouldn't fall apart. Please pray for her and Calixto's family. This will be yet another difficult time! (She worked at a day-care and preschool up until last year, the kids started calling her "Lala" many years ago and she has been known by that for several generations of kids that she has loved on.)

inspiration

The words of this hymn keep popping up. Even this morning when I was having my prayer time and struggling the things. I popped in a cd and this song came on. We will never understand why things happen but it is not ours to understand. Mr. Frick is even now resting in our saviors arms. I wonder if he has met with Bruce yet? It is very comforting to know that Bruce is there. I wonder if there are special relationships in heave with those you have led to the Lord? Any way this is the hynm that keeps popping up everywhere.

O soul, are you weary and troubled? No light in the darkness you see? There’s a light for a look at the Savior,And life more abundant and free!
Refrain
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,Look full in His wonderful face,And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,In the light of His glory and grace.
Through death into life everlastingHe passed, and we follow Him there;Over us sin no more hath dominion—For more than conquerors we are!
Refrain
His Word shall not fail you—He promised;Believe Him, and all will be well:Then go to a world that is dying,His perfect salvation to tell!
Refrain
