I am in soooo much trouble!!!

This first picture is what happens when Cheyenne is still for 2 minutes during her nap time. This is on the floor just inside her room by the gate. Of course this is at 3:45 when she is suppose to get up at 4. So I wonder what she was doing from 1:30 til 3:45?

Ok so now we know what she was doing! Does anyone have a idea to keep a not quite 2 year old in her bed so she will go to sleep? The NO NO Spoon is not working. Bed time at night is horrible. She was up until 11 last night. And she had many many spanking but still just pops out of bed when I leave or even when I lay on Wades bed. AAAAAhhhhh. This child is God sense of humor in action. I told you she was my uncle Earl.

Roni,

I knew I had to answer back on this one, even before you got to the "Uncle Earl" part. I said to Donna, "Yep, there's Rachel's room, alllllll over again!" I mean it Roni. It all brought back memories of Rachel and her "mess" whether it was in a closet, on the floor, under her bed or wherever. Roni, all I can say is "this too shall pass." And by the way if "Ole" Uncle Earl was there, he'd just pick her up and love on her a little bit and maybe save the spankings for when she might delibertly sass you, disobey you or whatever. Or maybe I'm getting a little more soft in my old age. Who knows.

Well when she gets out of bed 20 times she is deliberately disobeying me. I just want her to go to sleep. And believe me she gets the loving too. It is just hard without the stern mans voice to tell her to go to bed. She will actually laugh at me. I am trying to do both the mommy and the daddy. It isn't working to well. I really think the children are programed to react differently to a male and female voice. AAAAHHHHH. Well I guess you could start praying for that male voice.

I have gotten the same thing including the laugh! It is so frustrating. AND you need that time at night to yourself after a full day of chasing. I hate it when they just won't go down. Victoria did that when we were on vacation. Got up at 5am and didn't go to bed until about 10pm. Hope it gets better... I HEAR YA!

Hey Roni,

I didn't mean to stur up a bee's nest. But you asked; I answered, and though I don't claim to alwasy have the gest answers, here's a twist for you. Here's what I've counseled single parents over many years now with some success. Don't try to be Mom and Dad with your kids, it won't work. You just be you, their Mother and let God provide the mansculin figure as He plans. Love them, pray with them and at times when you are NOT angry, "spake them with love" to teach them dicipline. But I have a better solution than I could ever communicate in such a small space. Get ahold of Dr. James Dobson's book "Dare to Dicipline," read it through, pray it in and work it out into each of your children's lives. I'm paying for you Ronni and I pray for every one of my neices and nephews (and I really do, believe me) who are going through what can be a very trying time in life.

I have been seeing that my prayers have been being answered and that there are several Godly men who are particpating in my childrens lives. Especially with my boys. God is good that way. He says He will be a father to the Fatherless and he has been showing me that He is doing as he promised. Bed time is just a bad time for me because I really need the break from the day. I don't just sit there and spank her either. I spend time with her and tell her to lay down. Spanking is always the last resort. I do not do it in anger either. I am just especially concerned about Cheyenne not having a father to influence her. I know that the Lord will provide that but right now even when there are other men influencing my other kids not many deal with Cheyenne. Only Pop Pop. And he influences her as a Pop Pop. I know that if the Lord wills He will provide someone for us who will fill a lot of needs and voids. Right now I am doing my best to rely on God to fill all those needs and voids. It is just that at 11 o'clock at night when i have a little one who just won't lay down it gets a little overwelming. We will make it through this just as we have made it through everything else though. Two year olds are tough for anyone. The Lord is providing everything for me though. I trust still that he has put me in this situation for a reason and therefor he will see me through it. Even Bruce knew that all of this was for a reason. I am just waiting to see what happens next.
