Check out Desiring God's website. The Pastor's conference is in February and sounds wonderful for all of you Calvinist Pastors out there!! The title is "How must a Pastor die? The cost of caring like Jesus" Calixto plans on going again (the Lord willing) even though he is not a Calvinist...oops, maybe I shouldn't have divulged that info!!

I have read a few of Piper's books. "Don't Waste Your Life" is a must read. We are praying that God will lead you into the perfect ministry. Of course it will be totally your own decision. But if Ministry to hispanic meat packers in Nebraska sounds interesting I could connect you with a local church in desperate need of someone to lead their spanish department.

So Calixto's world gets "rocked" huh? Piper has a way of doing that! I agree with Tom, Don't Waste Your Life was great, but don't read it if you don't want to be challenged!

Your "ole" uncle Earl's admonition is simply "love people to Jesus and leave all that stuff we think we got figured out to God." If you do that, you won't ever have to worry about who is "called" and who isn't. Just "love em!"
