Mimi

I have to say that Mimi was still Mimi even in her last few days. She was so sweet and trusting. When I would ask her if she was in pain she would say Noooooooo. We would tell her we love her and she would say I love you too. We decided her lips were very dry and we put on some lip gloss and in typical Mimi style she folded up her blanket and promptly wiped it off just like she always wiped her lips on her tissue. And when she would reach up to itch her head she would fluff her hair when she was done. It was just so cute to see her fluff her hair just like she use too. I asked her if she would like me to read to her from the Bible and she said yes. They always left her tv very loudly on a Christian station too. I really thank God for Mimi and the heritage that is there because of her and Poppop. I don't think that Bruce would have been the person that he was if it hadn't been for them. I think that each of us can say the same thing. Our lives just wouldn't be what they are now if Mimi and Pop Pop hadn't loved the Lord the way they did. They started a chain that I pray will continue for many generations. What family can say that everyone in it is saved and many serving God? Not very many especially today. We will surely miss Mimi .

Roni,

Thank You so much for being there with MiMi. In times like these it is so hard to be away. I know we are where God has put us. Yet, we often wish we were closer. Mimi was very proud of each of her grandchildren. While some of us serve the Lord in vocational ministry, everyone of us is serving the Lord. I had wanted to speak at Mimi's funeral about the godly heritage that she and poppop passed down to us. They made a committment to serve the Lord and raise their family to serve the Lord. By God's grace their prayers were answered and we now carry the torch as we raise the fourth generation to serve the Lord Jesus alone. I will not be able to be with you on Friday but my prayers are with everyone as we remember one of God's true servants.

MiMi would have been so proud that her grandchildren responded the way that you have to her death..Mom was always so proud to tell people that she had four boys and two of them were pastors and that she had two grandsons in the ministry also but she was proud to say that ALL of her grandchildren were children of her Loving God. She will be missed but we know where she is ..is where she has wanted to be for several years now. She left behind a legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren that will live on to serve the Lord. That's what she wanted.
